Objectives of the Rushworth & District Historical & Preservation Society Inc

To foster an interest in the history and heritage of Rushworth and its environs.

To collect, classify and preserve any item, record book, paper or other document pertaining to the history of Rushworth and its surrounding districts.

To maintain our premises for the purpose of storage of and display of the property and collections of the Society.

To maintain and preserve the collection and displays of the Rushworth and District Historical Society museum on behalf of and in the interests of Rushworth and its general community.

To expend monies raised by the Society primarily on maintaining the museum, its collections and projects, and on preserving information, items and sites of interest that have been recognised by the Shire of Campaspe, the National Trust or the township's community as being part of Rushworth's heritage.
